For those of you who have been to the Mendocino coast, you probably know that we’re known for our fabulous festivals, bringing local flavors to the community. Mendocino Eco Arts “Spring Ranch Barns Benefit Exhibit”
March 9, 10, & 11; 8 am – 9 pm, FREE, Main Dining Room at Little River Inn.
Visit this art exhibit of the Springs Ranch Barns benefiting Mendocino Area Parks Association.
Whale Parade at Van Damme State Park
Friday, March 9, 6pm -7:30pm, $5 suggested donation
Learn all about the gray whale’s migration while watching the “Whale Parade” from the coast. Enjoy whale trivia, live music, prizes and games during an interactive campfire, fun for all ages.
Kayak Mendocino Sea Cave Tour
March 10 & 11 at 11:30am & 2pm, $60 per person
Paddle through sea caves and meet the local harbor seals, sea stars, algae, and shorebirds. Call 707-813-7117 for reservations.
Whale Watch Walk
Saturday, March 10, 10 am – 12 pm, $5 suggested donation
Get out and partake in a two-hour docent-led walk to learn about the local bird and plant life in addition to whales! Binoculars available.
Spring Ranch Barn Tour – To Be Confirmed
Saturday, March 10, 11:00 am – 3 pm
Tour this stunning 1840’s hay barn saved from the wrecking ball and shipped from Ontario, Canada to the historic Spring Ranch. A landmark structure on the Mendocino Coast!
Stamp it! Festival attendees are welcome to collect stickers in their Little River Whale Festival Passport for a chance to win prizes. Three or more stickers will give guests the opportunity to win lodging, food, and adventure activities at participating businesses throughout Little River. Passports are available at each event site.
